What is a Trade Mission?
The aim of a Trade Mission is to fly the British flag overseas. It gives delegates the opportunity to promote their products and/or services by putting them in front of key decision-makers and stakeholders either to sell to, or buy from, giving the Mission participants and their companies a competitive advantage over the lone business traveller.
Why participate?
- You cannot underestimate the power of a personal visit – some potential customers and partners need more than an email, a phone call or a web-based meeting, particularly in countries where there are cultural differences in how business is conducted. Many will not establish a relationship until they shake your hand.
You can:
- Explore new territories or existing markets
- Find gaps in the market
- Re-connect with current contacts
- See first-hand the prospects open to you
- Find new business opportunities
- Establish the viability
You will receive:
- A full political and economic briefing and often a networking B2B reception
- A focussed in-market programme arranged to match your sector and objectives
- Promotion by way of a mission brochure which is distributed in-market both prior to and during the mission. It is also used as a reference point by potential customers for years after the mission has taken place
- The on-site assistance of an experienced Mission Leader who has knowledge of the market and exporting, to give you help and advice throughout
You will also benefit from:
- Networking with your fellow mission members, sharing expertise in a market and/or providing potential leads and advice to each other
- Our flexibility – we listen to what you are looking for and adapt our service accordingly
- Our full support pre, during and post (PDP) mission
The key ethos of Pathfinder Trade and Invest is PDP (Pre, During and Post). We believe that pre-planning, an excellent in-market programme with full support, and post-mission follow up, makes for a unique added-value mission, not only to the delegates, but also for UK PLC.
