Jordan Trade Mission
Date: 1st to 4th October 2017
Sector: Multi-Sector
Pathfinder Trade & Invest, with the assistance and support of the British Embassy in Amman, are delighted to arrange a Multi-Sector trade mission to Jordan in October 2017 which will offer a bespoke and valuable programme to delegates, focussing on both facilitating direct business with Jordan and cross-trade with Iraq.
Benefits of the Mission:
- On day one, a programme of group meetings with senior representatives of target organisations such as the Education Ministry, Ministry of Water, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Health etc. will take place, mirroring the sectors represented by the Mission delegates.
- You will receive a ‘warmed’ list of four contacts of direct interest/relevance for you to make your own bespoke individual programme of meetings from day two onwards, thereby ensuring you meet your own personal needs/objectives and you achieve the maximum benefit possible from your participation.
- It will feature Company presentations and a networking event with the Iraqi Business Council, to explore available opportunities for cross-trade with Iraq.
- You can take advantage of an optional negotiated travel package or make your own arrangements and meet the main mission in-market.
Who is the Mission for:
- This Mission is multi-sector and open to all.
- New and existing exporters are encouraged to join.
- Mission participants must be British exporters of goods or services. They may be a UK registered subsidiary of a foreign company, providing they are actively contributing to the British economy.
- Delegates who are not based in the UK are welcome to join the Mission and organise independently their own flights ensuring they arrive into Amman on the evening of 1st October.
Market Information:
- Jordan has a strategic position at the heart of the Levant. It is politically stable, with an open business environment and the region attracts more than £1bn worth of UK exports.
- Key sectors include Education which represents a major source of investment, ICT (the 3rd largest contributor to Jordan’s economy) and Energy which is rapidly developing to meet government targets to reduce the country’s reliance on external energy sources, and Healthcare amongst others.
- Jordan is a hub for doing business in Iraq. Most of the largest Iraqi companies have their base in Amman and it can be an ideal location to conduct business for UK companies unable to travel into Iraq.
- Many foreign companies who operate in Iraq also base their offices in Amman.
