Renewable Energy Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia

The Department for International Trade and the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) are organising a UK trade delegation to Saudi Arabia focusing on the renewable energy sector.

Objective:

To understand Saudi Arabia’s vision for developing its renewable agenda, to scope out the commercial opportunities for UK Plc and work with the key interlocutors in the Saudi Government and business.

Why Saudi Arabia?

Energy constitutes a major building block of Saudi Arabia’s economic reform agenda, developing the renewables sector is a key part of the Saudi government’s Vision 2030 roadmap.  They have already set an initial target of generating 9.5 gigawatts of renewable energy and are working towards projects like NEOM to be almost entirely powered by renewable energy.

The scoping mission will include energy generation (utility and small scale), electrical networks, energy storage and management. This is a large, diverse and developing market with multibillion dollar investment programmes planned and in progress.
