BEI in collaboration with Hayat Capital and Ithraa (Oman's aware-winning inward investment and export development agency) would like to invite you to join them for the 'Oman - Open for Business Seminar'. (Please bring your ID for the event).

The event will be opened by His Excellency Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sultanate of Oman, and The Hon Alistair Burt, MP, UK Minister of State for International Development and Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office the Department for International Trade.

As part of Oman's Vision 2020 strategy, there is significant government spending on large scale infrastructure projects with support from record oil and gas revenue and there are strong government investments in tourism, oil & gas, energy, healthcare, education, mining, infrastructure and other sectors.

The Business Seminar will feature a wide-range of high-level speakers from various Omani Ministries as well as MNC's with a presence in the country.

The event will be opened by His Excellentcy Sayyidd Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sultanate of Oman and the Department for International Trade, United Kingdom.

Ministries represented will include:

  • The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD)
  • The Public Establishment for Industrial Estate (PEIE)
  • ASSAS (Infrastructure, Real Estate, Logistics, Tourism)
  • ASYAD (Mining for Railway, Infrastructure, Ports) Energy, Oil and Mining

There will also be a panel discussion featuring representatives from the above Ministries on the day.

Other speakers will include representatives from BP Oman, HSBC Oman and Memery Crystal as well as from the Muscat Securities Market and London Stock Exchange. There will be valuable networking opportunities for UK companies looking or interested in doing business in Oman.
