Location: Canning House, 126 Wigmore Street, W1U 3RZ
Organised By: Canning House
Date: 07th March 2018
Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Venezuela continues to be in the midst of an unprecedented crisis, gripped by social, economic and political turmoil. Observers speak of a humanitarian crisis, while the recent decision for this year’s presidential elections to be brought forward to the 22nd April are seen by many critics as one more sign of President Maduro becoming increasingly autocratic.
Canning House is delighted to welcome a number of Venezuelan nationals and specialists to present an overview of the social and political situation in the country: Diego Moya-Ocampos, principal analyst for Country Risk at IHS Markit; Dr Marcel Granier, CEO and Chairman of RCTV, a Venezuelan broadcasting company; and Lucinda Elliott, who was reporting for The Times out of Caracas in 2017.
Canning House COO Cristina Cortes will be chairing this event.
Please note that this event will take place in our new premises at 126 Wigmore Street.
